Mr. Chang Shun-de the founder of Der Jung established the company in 1960. Later, he began manufacturing and selling guitar machine heads for the domestic market. After a few years, Yamaha Japan set up their factories in Kaohsiung city and collaborate with the company.

  The current chairman, Mr. Chang Chin Chih changed its company name to Der Jung Enterprise Co., Ltd in 1990. In 2000, the cooperation set up the foreign department to do business with foreign buyers. Nowadays, the products have been sold to over 40 countries worldwide and collaborate with many famous brands.
